Problema de anegamiento del centro de Quintero quedará solucionado antes del próximo invierno
El anegamiento del sector centro de Quintero, es un problema que se produce frente al mal tiempo y las intensas lluvias que caen durante el invierno. Problema que se suscita además por las altas mareas que no permiten que las aguas lleguen al mar de forma natural y se concentren en la calle Normandie, fundamentalmente entre las calles Alonso de Quintero y Estrella de Chile. A ello se suma el mayor flujo de agua que cae desde el sector alto de la ciudad, producto de las nuevas pavimentaciones que se han realizado en los últimos cuatro años.
De acuerdo a lo anterior, el actual gobierno comunal, establecieron los contactos pertinentes con las autoridades de la fuerza aérea con asiento en Quintero, para obtener la autorización que mediante colectores de aguas lluvias que pasen por el terreno de la institución, se puedan descargar las aguas sin problemas.
Luego de la autorización de la institución, la Municipalidad de Quintero a través de Secpla, hizo el diseño de ingeniería de los colectores de aguas lluvias del sector urbano de la comuna, el que se postula a fondos regionales para conseguir los montos de inversión de las obras, las que debieran iniciarse a fines del presente año, de tal manera que el próximo invierno el problema de anegamiento del sector centro de la ciudad quedará solucionado.
